2026 Bright Ideas Coin Program 5 Coin Tube and Folder
newsXpress and The Royal Australian Mint present the 2026 Bright Ideas $1 Uncirculated Collection Folder and Five-Coin Set, celebrating five Australian inventions that changed the world.
The collection celebrates five of Australia's best-known inventions: the stump jump plough, patented by Richard Smith in 1876; the black box flight recorder, invented by Dr David Warren in 1953; the jaffle maker, first invented by Dr Ernest Smithers in 1949 and reimagined by Breville in 1974; the Safe-n-Sound Baby Safety Capsule, invented by Bill Bowtell, Bob Heath and Colin Nagel; and high-speed WLAN technology, developed in the 1990s by CSIRO.
The set includes a collection folder and coin tube with five $1 coins, each featuring one of the five inventions. The folder includes a space for the $2 Bright Ideas till coin which we include inside the folder when purchased through us at www.mintcoinshop.com.au (Please note: for larger orders the $2 till coins may come in a press seal coin bag).
